What is Free-To-Air?

Free To Air is a term that is used in the satellite industry and basically means a satellite signal that is not in any way encrypted or scrambled and that it's intended to be viewed free of charge.  The abbreviation is FTA.

Which one of your receivers work with C band and which ones work with Ku band?

Any of the above satellite receivers will work with C or Ku band signal.  Signal reception from the most popular C Ku satellite like Telstar 5, Galaxy 25, AMC 4, Galaxy 10R, or any other satellites that broadcast Free To Air (FTA) programming.  All satellite receivers have automatic scan and transponder scan except for our rack mount receiver.  Our rack mount receiver uses the carrier code obtained from uplink company to provide the receiver with the necessary information for the TV station to come in from a particular transponder.

What band do Free To Air channels broadcast on?

Free To Air channels are broadcasted on Ku band or C band.  Any channel that is broadcasting from satellite and is not encrypted or scrambled and is open to the public for free viewing is a Free To Air channel and can  broadcast on either C or Ku band.

Blind Search, Blind Scan & Power Scan refers to the receivers ability to automatically find Transponder (TP) frequency, symbol rate, and polarization.  This is often a handy tool used to find new channels or channels that have relocated to a new transponder.
